Other places: Derbyshire
I have gradually been collecting, researching and reflecting on the landscape of Derbyshire and the Peak District—the other place I call home. Through walks, car journeys, observations and quiet moments, I have been taking note of the colours, shapes and textures that define this landscape. Each visit reveals something different: shifting light across the hills, weathered stone, changing seasons and subtle traces of those who have lived and worked here before.
This photo diary documents that ongoing research. It is a collection of visual notes and observations that capture moments of connection with the landscape, forming part of my creative process. Rather than seeking definitive answers, these images record an evolving relationship with place, memory and belonging, offering glimpses of the details that continue to inspire and inform my work.
